Staff Attorney (Foreclosure Prevention)
TaeRa Franklin is a Staff Attorney in the Foreclosure Prevention Project at South Brooklyn Legal Services, where she litigates predatory-lending cases on behalf of low-income homeowners. Prior to joining SBLS’ Foreclosure Prevention Project, Ms. Franklin served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department, where she specialized in bankruptcy litigation and defended claims and interests of city agencies in bankruptcy matters. Ms. Franklin’s prior legal experience also includes a clerkship to The Honorable Adlai S. Hardin, Jr., U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, Southern District of New York. She received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School (2003).
