Brent Meltzer


Co-Unit Director  (Housing)

Hailing from Winnipeg, Canada, Brent started his legal career at South Brooklyn Legal Services in 2002. Brent worked in the HIV unit at South Brooklyn Legal Services until May 2006 when he transferred into the Housing unit, in which he is now a deputy director. Brent attended NYU School of Law where he graduated Cum Laude and participated in the Civil Legal Services Clinic. He was awarded the Anne Petluck Poses Memorial Prize for outstanding work in a legal clinic. Before law school, Brent lived in Portland, Oregon, where he attended Concordia University and spent several years as an assistant coach with the men’s soccer program at Linfield College. At Concordia, Brent played four years of varsity soccer for the Cavaliers and was named an Academic All-American in 1994. He can still be found hobbling around various New York City soccer fields.
